£5,000 reward offered for return of missing dog George

A family has offered a £5,000 reward for the return of their dog George.

The fox red Labrador from Co Antrim vanished on Saturday after noon triggering search parties to look for him.

And groups continues into the night with now sightings of the male dog since 5pm at Whitehead aim stop.

Northern Ireland’s dog loving community is on complete alert for the pet, who is owner Angela Heaney-Gresham says will respond if approached.

She said: “We are frantic. He is wearing a red collar and responds to his name George and the information ‘sausages’ which he knows we use for any treats he gets. He is chipped and neutered so cannot be used for breeding.

“We have put out my jumper, his towel and his bed by the garden gate in the hope he can find his way home. He was staying with a family member and seemingly jumped the wall onto Cable Road, Whitehead.

“There have been a few people saying he may have been hit by a car and run off down Cable Road to the park and under the tunnel and turned right along aim tracks and the beach.

“aim drivers saw him along tracks towards the salt mines so we hope he’s come up from the tracks and is just hiding somewhere. He will be scared and we are terrified for him.

“We just want him home – we are begging anyone with any information to please get in touch via DogsLive or Belfast Live.”
