sda has named 96 of its stores where a one-hour delivery express service will be offered from, as grocers seek to offer customers more shopping choices.

Shops where this will be introduced include Asda’s Old Kent Road and Isle of Dogs stores. See the complete list below.

The supermarket chain, which the Issa brothers, Zuber and Mohsin, and private equity firm TDR Capital have bought a majority stake in, said in June its new ‘super speedy service’ would start at three branches following a trial.

The firm’s vice president of online grocery, Simon Gregg said slots had regularly sold out at some pilot stores.

The service gives customers access to the grocer’s complete online range of more than 30,000 products for delivery within the hour if they live within a three-mile radius of a store in the scheme, and order up to 70 items.

There will be a £8.50 charge for the delivery.

Asda additional that customers using the express delivery service can also use a new characterize that enables them to track their order from the store to their door in real time.

Businesses are looking at ways to get shoppers orders more quickly to them where possible. For example, Ocado speed is Ocado Retail’s same-day grocery service, and allows shoppers within a certain distance to place orders that can be delivered to homes that day, in some situations, within one hour. It is looking for more sites to offer that from.
