India : Government calls October – December crucial for Covid19

“Please watch your October, November, December,” Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal, with the Health Ministry, said warning people about the threat of COVID-19 resurgence during the coming festivals such as Dussehra, Diwali, Durga Puja, Milan-un-Id and Christmas and wedding season.

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan urged all the state health administrators to be strict with observance of Covid-appropriate behaviour during festivities to prevent a Covid-19 sudden increase. States should closely monitor case trajectories in all districts daily to clarify any early warning signal to ensure the imposition of restrictions and adherence to Covid-appropriate behaviour consequently.

India on Sunday saw a decline in its daily Covid-19 situations as per the daily data by the Union ministry of health. India reported 18,166 new situations in 24 hours which is the lowest in 214 days.
