Teenager knocked unconscious in Bangor park attack

Police have appealed for information following reports of an assault in Bangor.

A teenager was reportedly ‘knocked unconscious’ during the attack in Castle Park on Thursday (November 25).

It was reported that the alleged victim was “hit to the back of the head” with an “unknown object” as he walked by a wooded area at about 1:30pm on Thursday afternoon, the PSNI said.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Three men were reported to have been in the area at the time of the incident and police are keen to speak with them.

“All were reported as being aged in their 40s. Two of the men were approximately six feet tall and one was around five feet six inches and had a beard.”

Members of the public who saw people matching this description in the Castle Park area at the time of the incident are urged to contact the police at Bangor on 101 quoting reference number 864 25/11/21.
